Kirjanpitopalveluita voi hinnoitella monilla eri perusteilla, kuten käytetyn työajan mukaan, tositemäärien mukaan, pakettihinnoitteluna tai eri laskutusperusteiden yhdistelminä.

Eri tilitoimistojen hinnastot eivät yleensä ole suoraan vertailukelpoisia, koska hinnoitteluperusteita voidaan soveltaa eri tavoilla. Siksi kannattaa esittää tarkentavia kysymyksiä:

  • Mitä kaikkea johonkin hintaan sisältyy ja mitä siihen ei sisälly?
  • Mistä pitää maksaa lisää ja kuinka paljon?

What am I paying for?

Accounting services can be priced on different grounds. Prices can be set according to working hours, amount of bookkeeping entries or service packages.

Prices of different accounting firms are usually not directly comparable since pricing can be applied in different ways. Therefore it is worth asking:

  • What does this price or fee cover and what does it not cover?
  • For what should you pay more and how much?

Halpa kirjanpitopalvelu ei välttämättä ole edullinen. Halvimman tarjouksen tehnyt tilitoimisto saattaa tehdä kirjanpitoraportit ihan oikein, mutta halpa hinta ja riisuttu palvelu voi aiheuttaa kuluja muualla. Jos elinkeinonharjoittaja ei saa kirjanpitäjältään tarpeellisia neuvoja, saattaa seurauksena olla hukattuja vähennysmahdollisuuksia, liian suuria veroja tai muita turhia kuluja.

Halvimmat kirjanpitäjät eivät välttämättä ehdi seurata ja opiskella lainsäädännön muutoksia, joten on olemassa riski siitä, että halpa kirjanpito ei aina ole ihan oikein tehty.

Kalliskaan hinta ei aina ole laadun tae. Jos hintaan sisältyy palveluja, joita et käytä, maksat turhasta. Jos palvelun hintaan sisältyy mahdollisuus saada neuvoja, kannattaa tätä mahdollisuutta hyödyntää.

Kirjanpitopalvelun ostamisen tarkoitus on tuoda hyötyä yritystoiminnallesi. Kun et joudu itse opettelemaan ja tekemään kirjanpitoa, säästät aikaa ja rahaa. Oikein tehty kirjanpito auttaa välttämään vero-ongelmia ja veronkorotuksia. Asiantuntevan kirjanpitäjän neuvot auttavat sinua parempiin tuloksiin yrityksesi talouden hoidossa.

Kirjanpidon hintaa oleellisempia kysymyksiä saattavatkin olla:

  • Saatko kirjanpitäjältäsi sellaista palvelua, jota tarvitset, josta on sinulle hyötyä ja josta kannattaa maksaa?
  • Saatko rahoillesi vastinetta? Hyödynnätkö ostamaasi palvelua mahdollisimman hyvin?

What is worth paying?

A cheap accounting service is not necessarily cost-effective. An accountant with the cheapest prices might do all the accounting reports quite correctly but cheap price and minumum service might lead to more costs elsewhere. If you do not get advice from your accountant you might miss tax deductions, pay too much taxes or pay for something in vain.

The cheapest service providers do not necessarily have time to follow and study changes in the law. The cheapest services might include a risk that accounting is not made quite correctly.

Neither do expensive services guarantee anything. If fees include services that you do not need, you are paying too much. If the fees cover possibility to get advice it is worth asking for advice.

The idea in buying accounting services is to profit your business. Since you do not need to study and do all the accounting by yourself, you save time and money. Correctly made accounting helps you to avoid problems in taxation. Accountant's advice help you to better results.

There might be questions that are more essential than prices. They are:

  • Does your accountant provide you services which you need, which benefit your business and which are worth paying?
  • Do you get value for your money? Do you make good use of the services that you are buying?
